Ida Panahandeh's int'l flick 'The Nikaidos' Fall' is set to premiere in Japan.

Japan-Hong Kong production 'The Nikaidos' Fall' directed by Iran director Ida Panahandeh is to premiere at 2018 Nara International Film Festival in Japan.  

The film narrates the story of a middle-aged divorcee who runs an agricultural company and lives in a suburb with his daughter and mother.

Tatsuya Nikaido loses his son and now as the last male member of Nikaido family he must save his family name which challenges him into a big dilemma.

He must decide to marry for love or for duty. His daughter Yuko who feels obliged to do something for the family also finds herself puzzled in the same circumstances as her father.

The Japanese producer of the film-Naomi Kawase- is a Cannes Film Festival Camera d'Or winner.

The screenplay for 'The Nikaidos' Fall' is co-written by Ida Panahandeh and Arsalan Amiri.

Japanese film company LDH and Emperor Film Production Company in Hong Kong have collaborated in the film production.

The Nara International Film Festival is a biennial film event which embraces emerging young filmmakers, nurtures audience and features artistic talent through films.

The fifth edition of the film event is slated for September 20-24, 2018 in Nara city of Japan.
